Amber Group’s ride-hailing service, Amber OnTime, and Visual Vibe Limited have announced a strategic partnership that will introduce self-service taxi booking kiosks and a nationwide in-vehicle digital media network across Jamaica, creating a new technology-driven advertising platform for businesses while enhancing the transportation experience for commuters.
The partnership combines Amber OnTime’s transportation technology and growing mobility network with Visual Vibe’s expertise in media, advertising, content development and audience engagement to create one of Jamaica’s most innovative out-of-home digital advertising platforms.
Under the initiative, self-service Amber OnTime booking kiosks will be installed in supermarkets, plazas, transportation hubs and other high-traffic locations, allowing customers to conveniently book rides directly from touchscreen terminals. The Amber OnTime mobile application will continue to provide seamless ride-booking services for users across the island. At the
same time, entertainment and information tablets will be deployed throughout the Amber OnTime's fleet of more than 200 vehicles, providing passengers with access to curated content, news, entertainment and promotional offers during their journeys.
For Jamaica’s business community, the partnership creates an entirely new opportunity to engage consumers through a locally owned digital media network that reaches audiences where they live, shop, travel and make purchasing decisions.
Visual Vibe will play a central role in developing and managing the advertising ecosystem across both the kiosk network and the in-vehicle media platform. Through innovative advertising solutions, branded content and audience engagement strategies, businesses will be able to connect with consumers through targeted and measurable campaigns that extend beyond traditional advertising channels.
The platform is expected to create significant opportunities for small businesses, emerging brands and established companies seeking more effective ways to reach consumers during their daily routines. Whether engaging shoppers at supermarket entrances or passengers during their commute, advertisers will gain direct access to thousands of potential
customers across multiple touchpoints.
"We look for partners who share our values, and Visual Vibe does — a real commitment to innovation and to the communities we both serve. That's what makes this more than an advertising deal; it's a shared investment in improving how Jamaicans move and connect," said Nicole Brown, Managing Director, Amber Group, Caribbean.
“This partnership represents a significant milestone not only for Visual Vibe but also for Jamaica’s advertising industry as a whole. Together with Amber OnTime, we are building a modern platform that allows brands to connect with consumers in real-world environments through technology, mobility, and media. We believe this initiative will redefine how businesses engage their audiences while creating meaningful value for both advertisers and consumers," said Tyrone Wilson, Chief Executive Officer, Visual Vibe Limited.
The rollout will begin with a phased deployment of kiosks and in-vehicle tablets in strategic locations and vehicles across Jamaica. Additional expansion is planned as adoption grows and new advertising opportunities
emerge.
The initiative also establishes the foundation for future integration with Amber Media and other digital content services, creating additional opportunities for content creators, advertisers, and strategic partners.
